I took my wife to Helios in Leipzig for an operation. Yes, not cheap, but well worth it. I have already had an operation in Germany in another city and in another clinic. But I can't imagine anything better than what we had here. Excellent clinic, professional and attentive staff - from head doctor Sergey Leontev and surgeon Dr. Papp to the doctors, nurses and technicians on site. Excellent personal management from Michael Zaav and Maria Shlykova. The treatment method and the operation were chosen very gently and proved to be extremely effective, and the shoulder function was restored almost immediately afterwards. Both pre- and post-surgical anaesthesia allowed us to avoid any pain. We stayed in a separate room for two of us - it was much bigger than a hotel room, and the food was simply amazing - we travel all over the world and visited various restaurants, but we had never seen such a choice of tasty meals with such large portions. We were also surprised by the free regime of stay: walks are allowed, entrance to the clinic is free. Sanitary processing of the rooms and visitors, as well as staff, is at the highest level. In April 2021, in a difficult time of pandemics, coronovirus and lockdowns, I needed a knee replacement surgery for my indications. By chance I turned to Deutsche Medizinische Union to organize my trip and I have not regretted a single second. First, in the shortest time, a specialist Maria (unfortunately I do not know the names of all the people with whom I was fortunate enough to talk during this period) gave me options of hospitals in Germany, helped me prepare documents, choose the final option of the clinic (I later realized that in my situation it was the best decision) and to prepare all documents for the trip. At the beginning of December, we had a detailed chek up in Berlin with the help of the DMU. The initial plan was to undergo all medical procedures in October, but due to the fact that the patients were from Dushanbe (Tajikistan), there were difficulties in obtaining a German visa. As a result, the plan and schedule of medical examinations were changed several times, medical documents and invitations had to be reworked.
