My German experience.In the fall of 2018, I went to the DMU when I realized that our doctors could not cope with my problem.I needed an urgent surgical intervention, and my choice fell on this structure representing the German Medical Union in Moscow.Germans consulted me by correspondence, appointed a surgeon, chose the clinic, and I was in Krefeld Clinic in Germany two weeks later.After a very thorough diagnostics was made, I underwent several perfectly performed surgeries, the success of which was doubted by Moscow doctors.The clinic worked in a well-coordinated way from the cleaning of wards to the catering regime. We were contacted by doctors in Düsseldorf who referred us to the Fertility Center Berlin for a consultation.The attitude of the nursing staff, the service and the consultation with Prof. Kentenich were excellent. After the tests and examinations he answered the questions that we had missed for a year.We were prescribed medication that should increase fertility. The visit to the clinic was due to an operation to remove thyroid cancer, a man of 63 years. We thank doctor Martin Shtrik and the entire team, the timing of the operation was in accordance with the agreement, the team works smoothly and clearly. The attitude to the patients of all department staff and the clinic is very friendly and caring. The entire process was organized by Mikhail, Maria and Oleg. Marina has been very helpful: she translates synchronously, quickly, does not miss a thing when translated, knows all the special terms, quickly resolving issues with staff. Feedback on our story of a successful neurosurgical removal of an orbital tumour at Helios ClinicWe express our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped our little son: DMU staff (Andre Saling, who deeply felt the problem, spent hours on the phone with me, discussing, evaluating, persuading to overcome my fears), the translator in Germany (Marina Gusina, great medical translation, full understanding, help in the clinic on different issues as they were), and most importantly, our doctor from God, neurosurgeon Professor R. The most important thing is to our doctor from God, neurosurgeon Prof.R.Bshorer!Exactly the only one in the world who was not afraid of performing the surgery on the tumour on our two year old son, because it was right next to the nerve! The operation was much more difficult, longer, but still it is hard to believe - everything was done perfectly! Just jewelry work by a master of his craft and a real generous person!!!Many highly skilled doctors in Russia convinced us that such surgery was impossible; we also applied to other clinics in Germany, Israel, Spain, Switzerland and the USA. All of them suggested to leave the tumour, which was already 2 cm, without any certainty of its benignity, and just to watch. It was difficult to believe in and decide on the surgery at Helios Clinic of Professor Bshorer. That is why we went to see him first and our first visit was very well organized and he was very open, honest and really wanted to help.He is still in touch with us, answering all questions and providing support.

At the beginning of December, we had a detailed chek up in Berlin with the help of the DMU. The initial plan was to undergo all medical procedures in October, but due to the fact that the patients were from Dushanbe (Tajikistan), there were difficulties in obtaining a German visa. As a result, the plan and schedule of medical examinations were changed several times, medical documents and invitations had to be reworked. Thanks to the support of DMU (Maria Shlykova was very grateful) the embassy accepted all the documents and the German visa was issued.In Germany, everything went smoothly, all examinations were held on schedule. We used an interpreter kindly provided by DMU to communicate with German doctors (for a fee).All in all very satisfied!!!

Highest gratitude to all DMU employees who took part in solving my problem. I have never seen such a professional and humane approach. Special thanks to Doctor of Medicine Nuraldin Alshahabi, he was twice found the right words to me, when I was on the verge of breakdown and he was able to give me confidence in a positive result. And Professor Michael Bartels of Helios Clinic is just a God, so masterfully held the surgery and how many words of support he gave me before and after surgery, it is worth a lot.
