The hospital had a very comfortable environment and good nutrition.I would also like to mention a very good work of the logistic team. Maria Shlykova dealt with all the organizational matters quickly and efficiently. I would like to thank her for the constant contact and attention she has always shown.

I had a hip replacement at Helios Huls. The surgery was performed by Prof. Kraft, very professional, the pain was minimal, and the prosthesis was the best in the class. I walked on my legs the same evening, and since the next day I walked on crutches, and in 4-5 days I did without crutches. The doctors are excellent, the care is good, wards and the hospital looks more like a hotel/sanatorium - everything is very comfortable and beautiful. Food is also at a high level, the menu is varied, but as for me, a lot of bread. Rehabilitation was very good, we worked with all muscle groups according to individual programme. The groups are not large, there are individual sessions, which is very comfortable. The only problem was the language barrier, not all of the staff understood English, and there were some misunderstandings. I got fast and good support from Bukimed and DMU.

The girls work very well. When our daughter (3.5 years old) needed heart surgery and couldn't get to a hospital we called anywhere we could. As a result we got to DMU. When you find out that you have cancer, your life and the life of your family are divided into "before" and "after. Yes, it seems that you don't live at all: you just go somewhere for something, do something, say something to someone. And in your head there is a chaos of thoughts and fears and worries. Thank God, we managed to "get acquainted" with Deutsche Medizinische Union at that terrible time. Many thanks to the senior coordinator-physician Michael Tsava who calmly and confidently said that, yes, the situation is not easy, we need serious treatment, but then life goes on. Mikhail assured me that the company will do everything possible for the best and most effective treatment. We received, in my opinion, a complete consultation about the clinics, doctors and the cost of treatment. Michael patiently, competently answered hundreds of our questions and was available almost around the clock. With the help of DMU I underwent two courses of radioiodine therapy at HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch. I am very satisfied both with the conditions of my stay and the attitude of the entire medical staff at the clinic. The treatment fees are transparent and clear: the clinic gives you a detailed invoice with details of how much each treatment costs. At the end of treatment the clinic made a recalculation and we got a part of money back. I would also like to thank Samir, DMU's patient support worker, who was able to quickly and efficiently arrange my second course of radioiodine therapy in difficult circumstances during the coronavirus pandemic. And I would like to express special immense gratitude to the translator Alena Tkach. She is a great human being. Alena is not just an interpreter: she came, worked and left. She treats every patient like a loved one. Even though this job is a huge moral effort, Alyona can always find words of support, and her optimism is a must in these situations. And it is very important to know that being in a foreign country in a difficult time for you, you know who you can turn to for help and advice, you know that you are not alone with your problem.Once again, thank you very much to all the employees of Deutsche Medizinische Union for your work.

In the difficult situation of COVID-19 we received a quick response, a clear, fast organization of the arrival at the clinic Helios Park-Klinikum Leipzig and the start of treatment. Highly professional medical care is combined in this clinic with an attentive, caring attitude. The attending physician continues to advise and guide the patient even after his return home.
