With the help of DMU I underwent two courses of radioiodine therapy at HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch. I am very satisfied both with the conditions of my stay and the attitude of the entire medical staff at the clinic. The visit to the clinic was due to an operation to remove thyroid cancer, a man of 63 years. At the beginning of December, we had a detailed chek up in Berlin with the help of the DMU. The initial plan was to undergo all medical procedures in October, but due to the fact that the patients were from Dushanbe (Tajikistan), there were difficulties in obtaining a German visa. As a result, the plan and schedule of medical examinations were changed several times, medical documents and invitations had to be reworked. Thanks to the support of DMU (Maria Shlykova was very grateful) the embassy accepted all the documents and the German visa was issued.In Germany, everything went smoothly, all examinations were held on schedule. We used an interpreter kindly provided by DMU to communicate with German doctors (for a fee).All in all very satisfied!!!

I had a hip replacement at Helios Huls. The surgery was performed by Prof. Kraft, very professional, the pain was minimal, and the prosthesis was the best in the class. I walked on my legs the same evening, and since the next day I walked on crutches, and in 4-5 days I did without crutches. The doctors are excellent, the care is good, wards and the hospital looks more like a hotel/sanatorium - everything is very comfortable and beautiful. Food is also at a high level, the menu is varied, but as for me, a lot of bread. Rehabilitation was very good, we worked with all muscle groups according to individual programme. The groups are not large, there are individual sessions, which is very comfortable. The only problem was the language barrier, not all of the staff understood English, and there were some misunderstandings. I got fast and good support from Bukimed and DMU.
