Geriatric Medicine in the Best Clinics

In winter 2018, I decided to have arrhythmia treatment in Germany. Kirill Kalistratov supervised the organization of the trip. With his help, I was selected the best clinic in the city of Leipzig. In April 2019, I was operated in Helios clinic. I rate the organization of the trip and the treatment as excellent. My worries were in vain. Wonderful clinic, great helpful doctors and nurses. We also had a very good diet and excellent care. Thank you very much to the cardiac surgeon S. Richter and Prof. S. Leontjev.

Dr. Kraft operated on me. Endoprosthetics. A year and a half later I feel great. The joints don't bother me anymore. I'm living my life to the fullest. Thank you for your service!

I was in the Helios Privatkliniken for the removal of a tumour on my kidney. The surgery was performed by Professor Mark Schrader, everything went well, for which I express my gratitude to him and his assistants during the surgery. I would like to say a special thank you to my interpreter Vitaly who was always there to help me during the surgery.The clinic has all conditions for successful treatment and rehabilitation, attentive staff, comfortable environment, large café on the ground floor.

I would like to thank all the employees of the Deutsche Medizinische Union for their help and support in arranging my treatment at the Helios Caecilien-Hospital Huels. In August 2019, I underwent two hip replacement surgeries, which went as perfectly as possible, in addition to a two-week rehabilitation course at the same clinic. I would like to mention the professionalism, friendliness and responsiveness of all the staff at the hospital. I would also like to thank the surgeon Prof. Dr. Kraft, Dr. Hachenberg and Dr. Sauer, all the nurses and the surgical team. THANK YOU. I would like to thank DMU employees Maria and Anton.We arranged the initial appointment very quickly. I was very quick, because I was already in urgent need of surgical intervention. I already had a Schengen visa.We had an interpreter at the clinic provided by DMU. He obviously had worked there before, and he knew very well what to do and where to go. Without his help the process of getting the patient to the hospital would have been much longer.We thank our Doctor Prof. Michael Friedrich and his doctor Jörg Stunneck. They solved the problem that the doctors in Russia did not know what to do with. Their treatment was top-notch; they watched us regularly several times a day and even on weekends.After we received the discharge from the clinic, DMU employees translated the document into Russian very quickly.And the biggest thank you for the help with the following situation. On the way back we forgot our backpack on the train. It was already evening, the next morning we had a plane to Russia. In the backpack were all credit cards, all cash and all the passports. Thanks to Maria we got the backpack and flew home safely on our flight.Thank you very much for your work!

Good afternoon, my wife was treated in Helios Berlin-Buch clinic with the help of Deutsche Medizinische Union, there was a great support from DMU, especially André Sales and Anastasia Kurpakova. I would like to thank all the staff in the Cardiac Rhythm Recovery Unit of the Hospital Leipzig for their sensitive and attentive attitude and promptness in solving all problems. On 25 February my husband underwent radiofrequency ablation to restore heart rhythm. He is recovering now and is slowly coming back to an active life. Doctor Sergio Richter who performed the surgery and the head of the clinic Sergey Leontev visited our hospital room after the surgery and explained to us how the surgery was, and what steps to take for further recovery. Special thanks to the coordinator of Deutsche Medizinische Union Nuraltdin who helped us to organize trip and make AHF treatment (it could not have been done any later because of epidemiologic situation), was always in touch with us and is following up his treatment now, interpreter Larisa, medical nurse Tamara. The staff recommended the clinic based on our situation, visa support, recommendations for relocation in Germany - everything was received in full.
