History
Busan Bumin Medical Center is the first clinic of the Bumin Hospital Group, founded in 1985. Initially, the hospital was called the Chung Hung Tae Orthopedics Clinic in honor of its founder, doctor Chung Hung Tae, who still is the Chairman of the Orthopedics Department. The hospital got its current name in 1996.
When it was first founded, the hospital specialized exclusively in orthopedics. In the years that followed, new departments and medical centers were established to treat internal organ problems. 1996 also marked the foundation of the United Medical Scientific Research Center.

The hospital is situated in the South Korean city of Busan, which is located in a picturesque area among the mountains. The city has a humid subtropical climate with mild temperatures all year round. Busan is popular with tourists for its beautiful views of the mountains and the Sea of Japan.
