GangNeung Asan Hospital, covering an area of 85,000 square meters, was built by the Asan foundation in 1996. The clinic has been recognized as the most respected hospital in Korea by Korean Association Consulting (KMAC) for 15 years in a row. Over 1,400 people are working at the clinic, including top doctors, nurses and administrative staff. The inpatient facility can accommodate up to 2,715 patients at the same time. Patients with cancer are often prescribed chemotherapy, or radiotherapy using TrueBeam equipment.
The hospital has state-of-the-art medical equipment, including CT, MRI, PET-CT machines, angiography equipment, 3 Da Vinci surgical systems, Gamma knife equipment for minimally invasive tumor removal, endoscopes for thorough examination of hard-to-reach organs, ultrasound equipment, and a bone densitometer. GangNeung Asan Hospital holds up to 27,000 endoscopy procedures and over 10,000 radiotherapy sessions every year. The clinic's specialists hold over 67,000 surgeries annually.
