The Heart Center Sana Dresden is located at the Carl Gustav Karus University Hospital in Dresden. It is one of the most modern medical facilities in the Dresden region, where patients with diseases of the cardiovascular system are treated. The clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, heart valve disease, heart failure, all forms of cardiomyopathy, acute myocardial infarction, atrial septal defects, inflammatory diseases of the heart valve and the heart muscle, pacing and defibrillator therapy and much more.
The clinic's staff consists of more than 660 highly qualified medical professionals, who regularly update their knowledge and upgrade their qualifications. The team consists of general practitioners, cardiologists, intensive care specialists, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists. Nurses provide excellent 24-hour nursing care as ancillary staff.
The hospital has a large lecture hall and several seminar and conference rooms which are also used for teaching students. On the first floor of Sana Dresden are research laboratories for scientific activities in the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery.
