ENDO-Helios Hamburg is one of the largest European orthopedic centers specializing in joint replacement and joint and spine surgery. Its large interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and physiotherapy specialists provides the full spectrum of medical services. The clinic also has three operating rooms for arthroscopic, minimally invasive, and conventional surgical procedures.
The clinic has its own recovery and rehabilitation center staffed with professional rehabilitation and physiotherapy specialists, physical therapy instructors, masseurs, and sports physicians. This center helps restore the range of motion quickly, even after complex major surgeries.
The clinic's staff pays special attention to joint infections. In joint infection cases prosthetics are used to avoid prolonged antibacterial treatments. The clinic's team uses customized prostheses. Moreover, they developed a new technique of adding antibacterial ingredients to the prosthesis in order to minimize the risk of post-operative infection and recurrence. Many of the knee prostheses implanted by the Center are manufactured using the proprietary Signature Knee technology.
The clinic has a large neurosurgery department that performs brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system surgeries. In addition to treatment, the clinic offers comprehensive diagnostics using high-field tomography, 3D and 4D imaging, neuronavigation, and other advanced technologies. The neurosurgical diagnostics department completes 2,500 central and peripheral nervous system examinations annually.
Achievements
In 1973, the ENDO Verein e.V association, which aids bone-muscle research, was formed. Currently, the association includes 750 doctors.
The ENDO Verein clinic is the only German hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centers (ISOC).
In 2021, the clinic received the seal of quality of the Klinikradar organization as a top clinic in the field of hip and knee joint endoprosthesis.

History
The clinic was founded by famous German surgeon Hans-Wilhelm Buchholz, who pioneered endoprosthesis in Germany in the 1960s. The ENDO Clinic was officially opened in 1975 in an unfinished building that was meant for another hospital. The clinic eventually finished construction, and it remains at the same location to this day.
The ENDO Clinic began to form part of the Helios holding company in 2011, which is when large-scale renovation of the hospital began. Modernization of the building took several years and cost the holding company €30 mln.
Services
Patients can stay in comfortable hospital rooms with separate bathrooms and showers. The rooms have a TV, a telephone and Wi-Fi. The clinic pays special attention to the patients' diet: the menu contains various nutritious and tasty meals. Patients can also ask for an individual menu if needed.
The clinic has its own cafeteria with a large selection of drinks and meals. It also has its own pharmacy.

The ENDO Clinic is located in northern Germany, in a major port city of Hamburg. Besides the port and the train station, the city has its own airport that operates direct flights to many countries, including Russia.
The clinic is located in the central part of Hamburg, in a bustling district of Altona-Altstadt. The district has many shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels and a small park (Walter-Möller Park). The Reeperbahn metro station is a short walk away from the clinic.
