Münster Heart Center is located in the north-western part of Germany, in the very heart of the town of Münster. The center employs minimally invasive techniques, such as catheter-access procedures, instead of traditional open-heart surgeries. In most cases these do not require total anesthesia and are done on an outpatient basis, thus speeding up recovery and rehabilitation.
This is the only clinic in the Münster area that offers its outpatients invasive heart exams using a balloon catheter and a stent implant. It has a catheterization lab that performs emergency interventions to widen coronary arteries with stents.
