History of the clinic
The clinic's history takes root in 1962, when University of Regensburg was established. In 1978, University of Regensburg started construction of a university hospital. In 6 years, the first department of the new clinic was opened: Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery. The hospital's own research center began construction in 2002. In 2009, Cell Therapy Center was opened, and a year later, a new wing of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Department finished construction.
