Vivantes Spandau is a multidisciplinary hospital with 603 beds and eight specialized departments. It treats more than 44,000 inpatients and outpatients annually.
The medical assistants' team is made up of experienced nurses that have been helping patients (cancer, gastrointestinal disease, metabolism problems, cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, and infectious diseases) for many years. Moreover, psychological counseling is available to patients.

Vivantes Spandau specializes in diagnosing and treating cancer patients. In 2007, the clinic was the first in Berlin to be certified by the German Society for Hematology and Oncology, and became an accredited ESMO-Center (integrated oncology and palliative care center). The clinic makes adjustments to the its diagnostic and treatment standards taking into account medical innovations. The clinic is actively involved in clinical studies related to modern cancer treatments.
Effective individualized treatment plans are developed for all patients in close cooperation with other departments or, if necessary, other Vivantes clinics. Patients that undergo combined inpatient-outpatient treatment are assigned a dedicated attending nurse.

- Bariatric surgery: a type of surgery that changes the structure of the patient's stomach to help them lose weight. There are many kinds of bariatric surgery: gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, omega loop gastric bypass, gastric band.
- Nutrition tests: these tests are held to determine the patient's nutrition patterns and develop an individual diet plan.
- The clinic also specializes in women's mental health.
Services
Patients of the clinic stay in comfortable rooms with "smart" beds that can adjust the patient's position at the touch of a button. Each room has all basic amenities: a telephone, a private bathroom with a shower, personal hygiene kits, a TV, Wi-Fi and a safe. Patients can also stay in an upgraded room with a personal lounge area, where they can relax on a cozy couch and have a beverage from the mini bar.
Accommodation can be arranged for accompanying persons as well. This service is billed separately.

The clinic is located in eastern Berlin, in the Spandau district. This is a quiet district perfect for evening strolls. The Havel River bank is a short walk away from the clinic. It has a beautiful view of the Spandau Citadel and the Eiswerder Island. There is a small pier nearby.
This area of Berlin has many supermarkets, small deli shops and cafes. The nearest metro station, Altstadt Spandau, is about a mile away from the clinic. It takes about 20 minutes to reach central Berlin from this station.
It takes about 40 minutes by car and just over an hour by public transport to reach the clinic from Berlin Airport.
