When you find out that you have cancer, your life and the life of your family are divided into "before" and "after. Yes, it seems that you don't live at all: you just go somewhere for something, do something, say something to someone. And in your head there is a chaos of thoughts and fears and worries. Many thanks to the senior coordinator-physician Michael Tsava who calmly and confidently said that, yes, the situation is not easy, we need serious treatment, but then life goes on. We received, in my opinion, a complete consultation about the clinics, doctors and the cost of treatment. Michael patiently, competently answered hundreds of our questions and was available almost around the clock. With the help of DMU I underwent two courses of radioiodine therapy at HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch. I am very satisfied both with the conditions of my stay and the attitude of the entire medical staff at the clinic. The treatment fees are transparent and clear: the clinic gives you a detailed invoice with details of how much each treatment costs. At the end of treatment the clinic made a recalculation and we got a part of money back. She treats every patient like a loved one. Even though this job is a huge moral effort, Alyona can always find words of support, and her optimism is a must in these situations. I was pleased with Deutsche Medizinische Union: they responded quickly to my application (in contrast to the other two companies I had sent applications to at the same time), offered me the Helios clinic in Kreffeld, which I was very satisfied with, and promptly agreed on treatment dates. The communication with the clinic was very good and very informative.The facilities are very good. The staff are friendly and smiling. My English is poor and I don't speak German at all. My English was enough for everyday communication, but in the evening when the surgeon came to talk about the operation, he called the Russian-speaking nurse to improve communication.About the treatment: I had a knee arthroscopy for a meniscus rupture. Suffice it to say one thing about the treatment: I walked around Dusseldorf 3 days after the surgery and had a "light" shopping trip, and on the fourth day I had a six-hour flight.I would like to mention particularly the work of anaesthesiologists. The anesthesia was excellent. It was like I fell asleep for 5 minutes and then woke up without any discomfort (the surgery lasted over an hour). In general the organisation of work is very different from that in Russia for the better.Now half a year has passed after the surgery and my knee is as good as new.

I have a double impression of how the services were provided to me. On the one hand the qualification of the specialists in the clinic is above all praise, they corrected my diagnosis, prescribed medications and helped me very quickly. I had been suffering for a year before. Gastroscopy was better than in Israel and South Korea. On the other hand, in a separate center where they did a checkup we didn't get an ECG alone, though they promised in the documents, and have been translating the results and recommendations for 3 months. The last time I was told they gave it to me for transfer in January. Still no results. Although I repeat, all this was promised. So, I can definitely recommend clinics near Berlin, they are top-notch professionals, but I wouldn't recommend doing a checkup, at least I won't do it again.

The girls work very well. When our daughter (3.5 years old) needed heart surgery and couldn't get to a hospital we called anywhere we could. As a result we got to DMU. Registration on the website, short description of the problem and we got a call from the best clinics in Germany. There is no point in describing the situation for a long time, they are very precise, the offers are worthy and there is a lot to choose from.
